Rabbit Viral Hemorrhagic Disease

Clinical Signs RHD damages the liver, intestines, and lymphatic tissue and causes significant hemorrhage (bleeding) into many different organs. The incubation period is about 24 to 48 hours. RHD predominantly affects adult rabbits and young adults (> 2 months of age) which die suddenly within 6 to 24 hours of the onset of fever with few clinical signs.
